Anthony Joshua Title Defense v Molina & Superfight v Klitschko
Yesterday saw Anthony Joshua announce that he will be fighting Eric Molina and defending the IBF Heavyweight Title in what is sure to be a sell-out at the Manchester Arena on December 10th.
The news comes after talks had previously broken down between Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko when it seemed as though they were almost certain to be fighting for a title belt next after former champion Tyson Fury was stripped of his belts due to testing positive for a banned substance on 22nd September 2016. Alas the bout between Klitschko and Joshua was scheduled shortly after.
After making his professional debut in 2013 Anthony has not looked back and one feels it is the right time for Joshua to be fighting for a title after patiently waiting and building up his experience with 17 fights and 17 knockouts. This will surely be a big test for Anthony as his unbeaten record is also on the line against Molina.
London’s O2 Arena has been the home of Joshua’s last 17 fights and it has somewhat become his home. He now takes himself to the Manchester Arena where he surely will be greeted with a similar reception as he has had in London.
It is sure to be a great night for the spectators and for the young man himself, as he prepares to face Klitschko after in an already sanctioned super fight next spring, should he be victorious.
