To host an intimate Long Room dinner on the eve of the 2019 Cricket World Cup and Ashes.
A Paragon event, we joined forces with Wooden Spoon to pull out all the stops for this incredible cricketing event. Limited to only 150 guests, we hosted an evening drinks reception, back-stage tour of Lord’s including normally off-limits areas (such as the England Dressing Room and famous balcony) an MCC tour guide of the museum and a delicious three course dinner.
Each table was hosted by a cricketing legend, guaranteeing our guests that VIP treatment and lots of celebrity gossip and predictions for the game ahead.
Celebrity attendees included a number of Paragon’s own talent and cricketing legends such as:
Mark Nicholas, Chris Tremlett, Alec Stewart, Mike Gatting, Devon Malcolm, Graham Gooch, Graham Thorpe, Graeme Swann, Toby Roland Jones, Phil Tufnell and Mark Ramprakash.
The event raised over £30,000 for Wooden Spoon and remains a current favourite with the Paragon team!
This event was fairly smooth sailing for Paragon, as it combines our love of cricket and our passion for intimate and well-run events!
The team got round a number of logistical issues regarding event timings, by ensuring that all MCC Tour Guides were joined by cricketing legends on their Tours, meaning that guests maximised their time with the sporting heroes.
Guests who wished to have their tour hosted by a particular celebrity, were offered the chance to choose beforehand, to ensure smooth sailing on the evening in question!
