Venues With A View
To add that ‘wow’ factor to events sometimes we forget that the setting of the venue can do all the hard work for you. Here are a few venues around London that I think provide exactly that with their spectacular views of London.
Sky Garden | 20 Fenchurch Street
The Sky garden is London’s highest public garden it’s a fascinating building with an incredible dome which holds three storeys of beautifully landscaped gardens. You’ll feel as though you’ve just walked into the jungle not one of London’s most sort after event spaces. As if a garden within the clouds wasn’t enough the Sky Garden also boasts 360 degrees of stunning views across the city of London, ideal for holding a show stopping event. This unique venue has been designed specifically to be open and vibrant allowing visitors to experience London in a totally different setting. The Sky Pod Bar is the best place to stop for a drink with a team of mixologists creating Sky Garden exclusive cocktails. I’d recommend the Green Gold, with an indulgent mix of gin, green tea, elderflower, lime and topped up with Champagne, wow!
Ace Hotel | Shoreditch, London
The Ace hotel is located in the heart of Shoreditch – a part of London that is known for being creative. Shoreditch is full of theatres, galleries and design space making it a hub of activity, vibrancy and truly unique experiences. Within Ace hotel is the Britannia room, with panoramic floor to ceiling windows and a huge balcony, there are very few places in London that provide such breath taking views of Shoreditch, the Gherkin and City of London. We recently held an event for one of our clients within the Britannia room and the first thing most guests commented on was the incredible view that ran the whole way along the room. Whilst there you should definitely try their food, their canapés of mini burgers and fish and chips are delicious!
Mondrian London is a new hotel located on London’s famous South Bank within the Sea Containers building. The beautiful hotel has modern and striking architecture whilst still keeping an essence of the original building with a 1920’s cruise ship glamour feel. The Rumpus Room is pretty much a glittering box placed on top of the hotel. The room’s walls are entirely glass which gives a fantastic view of some of London’s most iconic sites. The balcony is the perfect place for a picture which we took advantage of on our last visit.
Altitude | Westminster, London
Altitude London is a huge modern building with plenty of versatile space. The Skyloft is the largest of the event spaces taking over the whole of the 28th floor of the tower. With a built in bar that runs along the centre of the room and beautiful British interior this venue is perfect for anyone who wants to give their event the ‘wow’ factor. The stunning views from the Skyloft will leave guests completely lost for words as they stare out over England’s capital. Whilst visiting this incredible venue make sure you stop at the Lobster London for some impeccable Lobster.
